So kind of like Drunk History but with muppet dialogue instead of slurred speech?
If so, I'm sold.

Watch it? Hell, I'd crowdfund it if it wasn't for the fact that Muppets are a Disney property. The House of the Mouse has more than enough cash to make this work.
FWIW, this format would work with a bunch of awkward teens at the game table.
You could also go the other way and re-release "Honor among Thieves" by constantly cutting away to the game table with hilarious die-rolls and the rest. Think: "Of Dice and Men", or "Dorkness Rising".

An entire movie with half being lip synced live action sounds awful to make. That's a lot of lip syncing.
But I'm sure there's a bunch of tools and talent out there that could make this happen. And it'd be a fantastic movie.

I would also watch the most recent D&D movie with scenes of the Muppets playing the game spliced into it.

You might enjoy HarmonQuest! Bonus fun fact: the DM was originally just an audience member when Dan Harmon came up with the idea and asked for a DM, but is now a regular cast member.

wrote on 19 May 2025, 18:54 last edited byI kinda like the idea of the players constantly antagonizing the DM. Kermit could pull it off but I think he needs to be a player hero to pull off the script.
My dark horse Muppet DM pick is Sam the Eagle

Sounds like Drunk History which I've always said would be better if it used muppets.

there is nothing that cannot be improved by the addition of muppets
