You could also go the other way and re-release "Honor among Thieves" by constantly cutting away to the game table with hilarious die-rolls and the rest. Think: "Of Dice and Men", or "Dorkness Rising".

An entire movie with half being lip synced live action sounds awful to make. That's a lot of lip syncing.

But I'm sure there's a bunch of tools and talent out there that could make this happen. And it'd be a fantastic movie.

I would also watch the most recent D&D movie with scenes of the Muppets playing the game spliced into it.

I kinda like the idea of the players constantly antagonizing the DM. Kermit could pull it off but I think he needs to be a player hero to pull off the script.

Foreign dubs are basically whole movies lipsynced from start to finish and that happens all the time.

Also fair. but that actually opens up a whole bunch of opportunity. There could be so many easter eggs hidden in what the live action actors are actually saying, versus what the mupets are saying.
