I fear you are vastly underestimating the horror of the collective hive mind of the internet and what people are capable of... Nothing is sacred. Gonzo has been the narrator in almost all the muppet versions of movies. So he'd be great at telling stories and winning over NPCs as a Bard.

Disagree. A few felt jokes landed. Remove those muppets and the film is worse.
