@pidgeon_pete I'm tempted to do it as a solo thing instead of player versus. In solo play you can take your time... there's no 1-3hr gametime pressure and you can continue at your own pace over days.So, more of a sim with a base/wave defence element. If enemies occasionally come in from the board edges, you'd have periods with peaceful turns switching up with more hectic combat turns, providing variation. There could also be trade, research, spying and diplomacy like in Utopia for the Amiga.

They already died twice as far as we can see already. It is surprising they both didn't get PTSD from dying so gruesomely, but I guess that like-waking-from-a-dream feeling helped?

Due to a misunderstanding/language-barrier, Teru and Higa ended up hanging out with each other to buy some clothes (a date???). The Okinawan shirts look like Hawaiian, but there are subtle references. Great episode. The Okinawan songs in the EDs are very chill and laid-back. @androidarts What is needed is something that show both symbols all the time and clearly highlights which of the two is active and which one is inactive.

Been adding to this Metroid thing a bit...Gave Kraid a Super Metroid look with the green tint. Since Samus uses one palette and the EN HUD another, this leaves two palettes for enemies. Aside from the fake bosses, the bosses are normally alone in a room, so it's possible to dedicate two palettes to them and give them more depth. M1 likely uses 8x16 sprites so the palettes have to be regional.Would be cool if Ridley could open its mouth to shoot. Maybe starting in a gargoyle/alien squat.

Living dangerously in Linux. GParted can't resize the in-use main partition and make place for a swap partition, so I made a swap file following a tutorial instead. Apparently if it's >RAM it can be used for hibernation.Originally did make a NTFS from w11 as a test thinking I could use it to shuttle files safely as both OSes can see it.Usually Linux creates a whole bunch of fancy extra partitions but I guess it didn't because I made a manual "something else" install.sudoing xed unhappy :(
