Turns out the 'confession' was a misunderstanding. The romance part turned out to be a setup for the true purpose of the show—a tourist ad for Okinawa. I ain't mad, it's really well-done. Also want to point out how precious the friendship between Higa and Kyan is.

If they wanna advance the romance, there's a potential S2 for that, perhaps.

One of the most beautiful manga chapters I've read yet. It's so sweet, well-drawn, and well-written.

I continue to think the genre is more School Life than Yuri. I half-expect that Akebi and Erika at some later point would break up. First love and first heartbreak is quintessential school life if you ask me.
