Mine would have to be Natsume's Book of Friends.

If I had to pick just one, what would it be?

I kinda find modern isekai are very formulaic. If you just want some fan service and an OP power fantasy protag who doesn't struggle at anything, then they look nice enough, but are still kinda trash.

I'd recommend watching some of the early ones when the genre wasn't so well defined:

• Now and Then, Here and There
• Twelve Kingdoms
• El Hazard
• Vision of Edcaflowne

That poster is absolutely sick, but the trailer didn't quite quite captivate me. I'm not sure I want that much magic battle in my sci-fi.

I'll definitely keep an eye on this though.

Orb deserves to be on this list. The opening is a banger, and the way it changes throughout the series is a really neat concept.

It's definitely the most underrated anime of the past 2 seasons, along with its OP.
