The Linux Mint default terminal console thing doesn't give me up-arrow history from previous sessions
( "history" just lists current session. )Since I can't remember anything I use that feature a lot (on my other system). I remember installing a whole bunch of terminals on that.
Had to chown my bash_history...
Could it be because sudo xed fucks up permissions? Someone suggested repairing it with...
sudo chown -Rc $USER:$USER $HOME
