Yikes—I just bought a battery for 120 euro (locally, kind of). UPS (APC) battery died with a long beeeeeep. It probably lasted like a decade, so not bad (well, maybe bad, a bad battery can hurt the unit). Anyways, super worth-it to have backup power. Saved my arse (files) so many times.

wrote last edited by [email protected]That was some quick shipping... Ordered in the afternoon got it in the morning. I'm so used to scummy dropshipping where the part arrives from who knows where and takes weeks.
Swap-out instructions were super easy. Just a hatch, disconnect & reconnect two crimped "spade" connectors and... and, well, disconnecting those took 30 minutes because they were super stuck. I wonder if there's a technique to it, besides wiggling.
