Young men are 'playing videogames all day' instead of getting jobs because they can mooch off of free healthcare, claims congressman

Norwegian living in Denmark. I moved from Norway because everyone was just gaming, but I wanted to go to gigs, so I moved. Turns out everyone games in Denmark all the time too! It must be why the Northern European countries score so high in the happiness rating: all we do is game all day. It's not like these countries have any money, especially Norway.
I am so fucking tired of gaming, could someone for the love of fuck get rid of my healthcare?!?!?! I wake up, gaming. For lunch I game. Dinner? You guessed it, gaming. At night I just constantly game. I don't know how I get out of this, but at least my health is fucking fantastic!

Lol. I have free healthcare and I played videogames every fucking chance I get because it makes me happy, but it's pretty rare since I worked 278 hours in May.

Here's some more food for thought: what happens if they piss off the Eve players? Those clowns have basically been training themselves on how to come out on top in a no-hold-barred capitalist system.
And the diplomacy and politics.
And scams. Or baits, escalations, and war strategies.
I ran my small alliance for a bit. The organization skills corralling 200 active people for an op is insane. Spending days prepping and doing logistics moving tons of ships. Making arrangements and mutual defense agreements. It was arduous work.
Then to have the fight not happen. Or the target not to drop. And having to manage the morale of everyone who devoted the time for it or purposely made sure they were free.

He must be thinking we get the same healthcare they do. That's how far removed they are.

Cool. Until there is no more profit and no more billionaires, there should be no labor and free healthcare.

And was mocked where it was first posted too I'm pretty sure.
I feel like most copypastas (at least the ones that I can think of) were initially received poorly. The 300 confirmed kills one and the vaporeon one are unfortunately the only ones I can remember off hand, but they definitely were

Can confirm. Here in Canada, nobody works. We all sit at home and play video games instead. There's no industry, no shops, no hospitals. Only video games.
sounds nice tbh

Mike, just cause you're a shit parent who can't talk to his kid, doesn't mean you gotta make the rest of us suffer.

Yeah just get disabled, unable to work, and get ssi, then all the free health care. Just have to live with being disabled and not really able to do much, and being poor and hoping that the government doesn't turn off your ssi cuase it will save them money.

So time to remove the free healthcare benefits from this congress member
-
This is absurd, considering Mike Johnson doesn’t work for a living. None of these government officials do anything worthwhile but still get paid for it.
It's hard being that evil

They are finally going after the most oppressed minority!

What are you going to do after all this is over, and it's either even harder to get or just completely gone? Im sorry you have to go through any of this...
No idea, I have a good support structure, so I'm probably not completely fucked if/when it comes down to it. Also my doctor has implied he has some way of helping, should the shit hit the fan, not sure what that could possibly entail though.

Is this a reference to something in particular or just picking a random shitty disease?
wrote last edited by [email protected]It’s not just a shitty disease…. It’s a shitty disease that the Social Security Administration really, REALLY does not like to pay out disability for. Mostly because, unless something has changed recently, it’s hard to prove that you actually have it because it defies easily quantifiable medical testing, among other things.
So, it would be a curse on multiple levels!

Man collecting handsome salary and amazing healthcare in exchange for betraying his entire country tries to shift the public focus onto people trying to make their lives less miserable with video games.
