-
Another week in the books. Let's chat about manga in the general discussion thread! Feel free to use this thread for questions, comments, recommendations, etc.
Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).

I have hardly read a thing this past week. Work really hit hard this past week and I feel pretty close to becoming an isekai protagonist through overwork. So, instead of writing about what I read this past week, I thought I would share some series that I pretty regularly read, but don't regularly post about:
This is an incredibly silly isekai series that, if I'm honest, is kind of hard to recommend. The MC is reborn with god-like healing powers and proceeds to buy some slaves for practically nothing due to their extensive injuries. One miraculous healing later, he now has some incredibly OP slaves that are immensely loyal and respect him as some kind of sage. The only problem is that he basically just wants to get down and dirty with them (the "hard to recommend" part), but now he has to maintain this sagely facade. Rinse and repeat as his stable of talented followers grows.
- Anan-san Wants to Combine within 3 Seconds of Meeting! / Anan-san wa Deatte 3-byou de Gattai shitai!
Another hard to recommend series that I have enjoyed nonetheless. Anan-san is an office worker that has a crush on her manager. However, to better understand how to interact with and get his attention, she watched a bunch of porn. So, now she dresses/acts very provocatively, but is extremely innocent and pure at the same time. It's very silly and contrived, but I have been able to kind of shut off my brain and enjoy it.
This series is currently on hiatus due to the author having a child, but it's been a slow, but rewarding burn. The MC is a kuudere girl that has a crush on an extremely outgoing boy in her class. It's a no-nonsense, straightforward romance that has been a great read so far and I am eagerly awaiting its return.
This is the true power fantasy. The MC is a high school boy whose family is deep in debt. Suddenly an extremely wealthy, attractive classmate of his shows up at his door and says that she has paid off all his family's debt and they will be married int he future. They haven't yet really gotten into her motivations for doing so yet, but the relationship that ensues is very cute. Another series where I just don't think too hard about it and just enjoy the romcom vibes.

Last week, I picked up the car ad disguised as a manga: Otherworldly Overnight in the Car: Outrunner PHEV
Given such a dumb premise, I went in expecting rubbish, but was pleasantly surprised.
The protagonist is actually capable of introspection, leading to character growth.
I found it kind of sus how he seemed to be getting a harem of underaged girls when he's of age (I just ignored it for my own enjoyment). Thankfully there are other ladies now in the recent chapters. Also, looks like the manga would be doing some time manipulation to age up the young girls.

I've been focused on gaming since most of the series I read are slow to release at the moment. That said, I have reread one older title over the weekend.
Today, Curry! is a short, cute and fun story about father, daughter and two local girls running a curry food truck on a small magical island. If you're in need of warm feelings and no high stake action it's a great read to fill your time with.

This is right up my alley! Now, if only MD loaded the images...

I just found MD has a status page - might be useful in the future.

Due to Their Appreciation and Expectations, I Can't Exploit My Slaves
That's one fucked up title
