[Lies of P] My journey comes to an end at last

I take it it's not a Mac you can game on properly?
Really tho itโs the disk space and not the performance for me. 250gb, less OS/system/applications/etc across two people quickly shrinks to like 60gb each.
The real game is the storage Tetris I played on the way to the install button ๐ซ

Ah, gotcha. Yea I can imagine that to be annoying. Having an external drive connected to the PC at all times would also probably be annoying

Wow, what a ride. In preparation for the DLC drop, I had a NG++ run still going. I promptly played up until the point where you can enter the DLC and played through it all. It was a struggle at times and I had to turn down the difficulty for some bosses, but the DLC felt rewarding nonetheless. Loved the additions to the story and the subtle changes in the main game's story telling after having finished the DLC.
Going into the NG++ playthrough, I only had a couple of trophies to check off for the platinum. The only two trophies that were left were the trophy you get for (spoilers) giving peace for Sophia, returning to the hotel after the final fight, and finding her letter on Geppetto's desk for the trophy, and the Free from. the Puppetstring ending.
Smart as I was back when I planned out all the steps required for the platinum, I just remembered that I can get all the humanity I want in the game as long as I don't give peace to Sophia, so I can get the Free from the Puppetstring ending. You see where this is going, right?
This happened yesterday, and realising was I've just done, I started another playthrough
Just finished it without giving the DLC another go because I was slowly feeling a little burnt out on P and didn't want to force myself through it again. Plus, I'll have an incentive to play again should the urge overcome me.
Here are some stats and figures:
-
In total, I've played through the game four times on this save file and could, theoretically, start the fifth one.
-
I've reached the leveling cap for two stats
-
I've seen all three endings on this save file, including a duplicate true ending
-
My favourite weapon by the end was a certain DLC weapon you get from the "first" boss. Love it to bits
-
In total, I've played through the game 7 times I think? Three separate playthroughs on my jailbroken PS4. Because I loved the game so much, I got it for PS5 too in preparation for a possible DLC
-
This was the first time I've ever purchased a game or DLC as fast as I did when the shadow drop was announced :]
Here are a couple more screenshots:
Love the game to bits, but I'm afraid it's goodbye for now. I'm sure I'll go back in for another run some day. Until then, I've got other soulslikes to play.
Thanks for reading and take care

Edit: Next on the agenda is a P cosplay I'll be wearing at gamescom this year. Stay tuned for updates

Are the quotation marks because the actual first boss sucked and didn't even give a weapon?
I'm playing through Lies of P Overture right now and the

Thank you
Who are you wanting to cosplay? And why isn't it Micolash?
Haha, well Micolash is mostly the voice, vibes and theatrics , and sadly I don't think I can deliver in any of those fronts (I might recreate a mensis cage though, It looks sick). For this build I'm going for the aesthetics so I'm doing Messmer. I really want to build those floating snakes!

has to be my favorite so far.Yea exactly. It didn't suck per se, but it was first huge roadblock for me where I had to turn down the difficulty because I was getting one-shot and two-shot constantly.
Haven't played with it too much. Do you use it complete or did you put it on a different handle?

It sucked pretty hard for me. Arena too small, enemy constantly pushing you against the wall, camera inside of you all the time, random clutter laying around the arena you get stuck on while dodging and fuck that grab move.
In the end I just stopped parrying and only dodged around him since parrying just seems to punish you by pushing you against the wall.
Do you use it complete or did you put it on a different handle?
Default handle for now. The range of the heavy attack is insane.

I seem to remember thinking the weapons were confusing... Any recommendations?

It depends on what skill you wanna focus and what kind of weapons you like. Any of the three starting weapons as well as the special weapon you get for free at the start of the game, the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive, are all solid options. Then the Bonecutter blade on the Dancer handle is really good, but you need to progress through the game for a little until you've found both individual weapons. The Krat Police Baton is also really solid and is available pretty early. It has a rather limited range but good Motivity scaling and speed. Most special weapons (boss weapons) are solid options too.
Definitely experiment a lot. Use different weapons, try the different handles out and see what suits your playstyle best.

I still need to beat the final true boss in the base game. And then obtain the DLC.
I keep getting fucked in the second phase when my durability runs out. The dude never fucking lets up to give time to repair and I'm completely out of the instant repair consumables.
Should have been able to buy those things...

Thank you! I'll try experimenting with the handles more.
