Note that ANN writes that this will be a different take on the story from the source novels or "Edge of Tomorrow." From the article:
The anime will retell the story from a different viewpoint than the novel and Hollywood's Edge of Tomorrow film adaptation

Are we really getting a new Anime in 2025 with a Dominion Tank Police aesthetic??

That's a name I haven't heard in quite some time...I haven't watched it though
Watching the PV for this series, I actually really like the art style in motion. Though, there is one scene where the MC's hair is blowing in the wind despite wearing helmet that fully encloses their head. So, they must have the drama-activated fans inside those suits to make the most impact when needed.

Watching the trailer, it animates like the first Digimon movie. Which is still cool, but not the brightly-colored yet grungy feel of Tank Police.

The art style kind of reminds me of Crybaby or Kaiba.

The light novel also inspired Edge of Tomorrow, which was a mostly okay film in which Tom Cruise associates with another young actress for several hours.

Personally didn't like the hollywood movie at all, but loved both the manga and novel ( even won thr manga physicslly ).
In terms of movies featuring Aliens, Tom Cruise, and a younger co-star, Oblivion beats Edge of Tomorrow without question.
